Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has rubbished rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The 26-year-old forward has been linked with both with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in this transfer window, but Sergio Aguero insists he is happy to extend his stay at Manchester City.
Aguero, who is currently preparing for Argentinaai??i??s next match against Iran in the World Cup, joined the reigning Premier League champions in 2011 and made an immediate impact as his winner against QPR in the dying moments provided Manchester City with their first league title in the Premier League era. The Argentine international has already scored 75 goals in just 122 appearances in all competitions since his arrival in England and has provided Manchester City with the spark they needed at the top.
Last season Aguero struggled a bit with his fitness and made only 20 starts in the Premier League, yet he managed to score 17 goals and became the second highest scorer for Manchester City as they lifted their second league title in last three seasons.
Aguero has been linked with Real Madrid since his days at Atletico Madrid and this summer has been no different. But recent links have also linked him with a move to Barcelona as the Catalan club look to add to their squad after a disappointing season. Lionel Messi, who shares a good relationship with his countryman, is believed to have urged his club to push for a move for Aguero.
But the Manchester City forward has now rubbished these rumours and stated his intentions to extend his stay at the English club.
