AC Milan are pondering a swap deal with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, consisting of Fernando Torres and Alessio Cerci.
Ever since his move from Chelsea to AC Milan, Fernando Torres has struggled badly to perform according to the expectations and the Rossoneri management is losing the patience with the Spaniard now.
Like Fernando Torres, Alessio Cerci has also failed to impress coach Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid and AC Milan has a plan to offer a swap deal to the Spanish champions which would prove beneficial for both the parties.
AC Milan are currently in the market for a quality winger as Keisuke Honda will not be available for selection from next month onwards as he will be playing in Asian Cup for Japan for one month.
Atletico Madrid are also desperate to get rid of Alessio Cerci as they want to free some funds to utilize them on a new striker as they are currently over dependant on Mario Mandzukic.
Meanwhile, reports coming from Italy and Spain have also confirmed the plans of AC Milan to offer a swap deal to Atletico Madrid. Italian newspaper Tuttosport has claimed that Interai??i??s initial approach of a loan with purchase option has been turned down, out of Los Colchonerosai??i?? reluctance to ai???give awayai??i?? the player so soon after investing in him. But AC Milan are working on a different, low-cost approach to try to tempt Atletico Madrid.
AC Milan signed Fernando Torres from Chelsea as a replacement of Mario Balotelli but the Spaniard has failed to live upto his reputation with the San Siro club so far. AC Milan coach Pippo Inzaghi is increasingly becoming frustrated with the poor displays of Torres and now, he has asked CEO Adriano Galliani to sale the striker and sign another top quality attacker in the winter transfer window.
Alessio Cerci moved to Atletico Madrid in summer amid much expectation but the Italian attacker has failed to impress coach Diego Simeone so far and the curly haired winger is now finding himself on a bench on regular basis at Rojiblancos.
However, the big factor which could hamper this potential swap deal is the high wages of Fernando Torres. Atletico Madrid are unwilling to pay 4 million euros in salary to Fernando Torres. But AC Milan could offer them a solution. CEO Adriano Galliani plans to ask Chelsea to share the burden of Torresai??i?? salary if he moves to Atletico Madrid.
