Alvaro Negredo Possibly About to Join Manchester City
Sky sources have reported than Manchester City are targetting Sevilla’s forward Alvaro Negredo as part of Manuel Pellegrini’s plan for the new season, for a fee of around 25 million. The deal is rumoured to be complete next week, with Negredo joining City’s already vast array of top quality forwards. The Sevilla striker has long been the best Spanish striker in La Liga alongside David Villa and routinely racked over 20 goals a season, providing an excellent aerial threat as well as more than adequate technical ability.
Tottenham is also rumoured to be interested in the Spanish striker, but there’s little doubt that if a bidding war ensues City have the overwhelming advantage, as they will look to concede Pellegrini his wish to have Negredo at his disposal this season.
