Wesley Sneijder has been a shadow of his former self for past three seasons now. The Dutch international, who was once considered among the best attacking midfielders in the world and was considered unlucky to have missed out on Ballon Dai??i??or for his role in the treble winning Inter side under Jose Mourinho, has found it hard to re-establish his career in Turkey since his much talked about move to Galatasaray.
The 29-year-oldai??i??s performances for the national side has also been below par and with competition heating up ahead of the upcoming World Cup, Sneijder will have to find a way to get back to his best. Reports suggest that Sneijder could consider a move away from Turkey in order to play in a more competitive league and he has already been linked with a lot of clubs across Europe.
He has already disclosed how Inter denied him his dream move to Manchester United back in 2010 and he was once again linked with the English club before he move to Galatasaray. Unal Aysal, president of the Turkish club, was quoted as saying that the club would sell Sneijder if any club meet their valuation of ai??i??15 million, back in June. Sneijderai??i??s agent has publicly rubbished rumours of him being unsettled at the club, yet his future at Galatasaray has come under immense speculation.
Sneijder has been recently linked with a move to the Premier League with reports in UK media suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are willing to sign the playmaker. Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the Dutch international from his time at Inter and wanted him at Chelsea after taking over earlier this season.

“I know Chelsea and Jose Mourinho want Sneijder.
“In my opinion, if possible Sneijder should leave Galatasaray and join Chelsea.
“Playing under Mourinho again would improve his performances and help him regain his form for the national team.” ai??i?? van Gaal told the press.
Despite Mourinhoai??i??s initial interest in him, it seems unlikely that he would want to buy another attacking midfielder to squad, where he is already facing the problem of plenty. Tottenham and Manchester United could certainly revive their interest in him, but the question remains whether he is good enough right now to play for any top European club. A move back to his home could also help his cause.
Eliaquim Mangala could be on his way to Chelsea in January
Eliaquim Mangala have been linked with Chelsea all throughout the summer and recent reports suggest that he could finally make his move to Stamford Bridge in January.
Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the Porto defender and sees him as a necessary addition to the squad. Chelsea faced competition from Manchester City and Monaco in the summer transfer window, but none of the clubs were able to negotiate with the Portuguese club who were not willing to accept anything less than the A?40 million buy-out clause in his contract. But the rumours linking him with a move to the London club are back in the media, and a deal in January looks to be on the cards.
The recent speculations have been fueled by the fact that he has hired Jorge Mendes as his agent. Jorge Mendes also represents Jose Mourinho and has already conducted a lot of deals with Chelsea in the past. With his appointment Eliaquim Mangala is perhaps one step closer to completing his move to Chelsea. But the English club will find it hard bring down Portoai??i??s asking price and reports suggest that Chelsea are willing to pay A?20 million for the 22-year-old French international.
