Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen whizkid Florian Wirtz, a target for Liverpool, in 2025.
According to a report by German outlet BILD, Florian Wirtz is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Merengues are keen on signing the 20-year-old whizkid in the 2025 summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Bayer Leverkusen star is also a target for Premier League heavyweights Liverpool.
The Rise and Rise of Florian Wirtz
Florian Wirtz has established himself as one of the best young attacking prospects in the world since moving to Bayer Leverkusen from FC Koln in January 2020. A highly-rated playmaker when he joined Die Werkself, the German international has come leaps and bounds in the last four years.
The 20-year-old has done well to bounce back from a long-term injury, becoming a pivotal figure for Bayer Leverkusen in the last 12 months. He has contributed to 24 goals in 30 appearances, finding the back of the net 16 times while providing eight assists. Meanwhile, Wirtz’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs.
Real Madrid, Liverpool Want Wirtz
The youngster has been on Real Madrid’s radar for a long time, with Los Blancos looking to sign him in the 2025 summer transfer window. Premier League bigwigs are also interested, with Liverpool among his prospective suitors from the English top flight.
