Unai Emery’s Aston Villa could push for the services of 23-year-old Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho in January.

According to Dean Jones via GiveMeSport, Aston Villa are keen on having Jadon Sancho in their ranks and they could push for his services in the winter transfer window. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old is also considering parting ways with Manchester United because of his rift with Erik ten Hag.

Sancho joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £73 million. The England international was amongst the best young forwards in world football during his time in Germany, and he was expected to help Manchester United return to their glory days.

But, things have not gone according to plan and his big-money move has not worked out. The 23-year-old has struggled for form since joining the Red Devils. Things have gone from bad to worse over the past 12 months.

Since the arrival of Erik ten Hag at the club, the pressure has been on the England international and he is yet to prove himself. Of late, the relationship between the player and the manager has worsened.

Ten Hag dropped him from the squad for the Arsenal game and following the loss, the Dutch manager stated that his form in training was a reason for his absence. However, the player hit back at the manager with a social media post and stated that he was being used as a scapegoat.

Post that, the duo met for a showdown talks but it seems the differences between the two haven’t settled. And, there might not be a future for Sancho at the club. Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa were interested in the England international during the summer, but nothing much happened.

While the Manchester United board was not happy with his performances, they were not looking to offload him. But, things have changed over the past few days. The Red Devils are now looking to offload him and recoup a fraction of the amount they had invested.

Jones believes that Tottenham might not return for his services. While they were interested during the summer window, they are unlikely to enter the race unless there is an easy loan deal on the cards.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa could go all out for the 23-year-old. They do need another world-class winger, and Sancho could be a great fit for the club. They have already spent a fortune on new players and are looking to spend further in the winter transfer window.

Unai Emery has been doing wonders since taking charge, and the board has full faith in the Spanish manager. They are ready to back him in the transfer window. Villa will enter the winter transfer market searching for another winger and Sancho could be a great fit for the club. But, it will be interesting to see if he wants to continue in England or move abroad.
