Fulham are set to table an official bid to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi, with talks already advanced between the two clubs.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Fulham are set to table a bid for Callum Hudson-Odoi as talks advance between the two West London clubs. Marco Silva is keen on the 22-year-old attacker as the Cottagers look to strengthen their wide attacking areas.

Chelsea are keen to offload Callum Hudson-Odoi in this window as they do not see a future for the 22-year-old attacker. The winger has seen his career dwindle in the last few years, and he may not get another chance to revive that at Stamford Bridge.

With a year left on his contract, Chelsea are desperate to make a decent profit owing to his academy or homegrown status. After some bad performing years, Hudson-Odoi’s value is nowhere near what Bayern Munich were willing to pay a few seasons ago.

A loan move to Bayer Leverkusen proved futile, and the winger has returned to Chelsea, awaiting a decision on his future. Recent reports indicated West Ham United were offered the chance to sign him, but David Moyes does not seem interested.

There were heavy links to Lazio recently, but despite contrary claims, a move does not seem close. Now, Fulham are ready to step up their chase of the winger, with Marco Silva behind the idea of bringing the 22-year-old attacker to improve his wide areas.

Fulham have now tabled a £4 million bid to sign Hudson-Odoi, but Chelsea may not accept the prosal yet. The two sides are advancing in their talks, with the Blues demanding at least £8 million. Chelsea may have rejected a previous verbal offer, which may have been lower than the latest one.

Hudson-Odoi is seemingly pleased with the idea of Fulham and could push for a move. The Cottagers are also why the 22-year-old attacker may have stalled on a move to Lazio. The player also has a point to prove in the Premier League.

Fulham could negotiate with Chelsea and meet them in the middle of the £8 million valuation. They might look for a bargain deal similar to the one they had with Arsenal for Bernd Leno last summer. Hudson-Odoi will likely replace Manor Solomon in the squad and could become a key member for Silva next season.
