Manchester United keeping informed on Mohammed Kudus, Chelsea agree fee

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Mohammed Kudus amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to a report by 90min, Chelsea are keen on having Mohammed Kudus in their ranks ahead of next season. The Blues are currently in talks with his representatives as they look to reach an agreement on personal terms. In addition, Manchester United are informed on the player’s situation, with Arsenal also keen.

Meanwhile, a report by Football Insider suggests that they already have an agreement with Ajax. The Blues were in talks with the Dutch club for a while and have agreed on a deal worth £40 million for the services of 22-year-old sensation.

The London club’s focus throughout the ongoing window has been on offloading players, and they have successfully managed to sell some of their highest paid players who were no longer in the plans of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Now, their focus is on signing players who can help the former Tottenham boss build a team strong enough to compete for major titles. Following the departures of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic, they are in desperate need of a new attacking midfielder and have their eyes on Kudus.

The 22-year-old is capable enough to feature as an attacking midfielder, a striker as well as on the right flank. He racked up 25 goal contributions last season. Having found the back of the net 18 times last season, he will surely be of great use to the Blues who struggled to score last time out.

With a deal already agreed with the club, Chelsea are confident that they can reach an agreement on personal terms with the player. Meanwhile, Manchester United and Arsenal are also keen on having him in their ranks.

Both the clubs have asked to be kept informed about any developments. Despite the Blues being ahead in the race at this point in time, the Gunners and the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the situation and can still push for his services.

Erik ten Hag is keen on having the 22-year-old in his ranks. The Dutch manager is confident about Kudus’s potential, having managed him at Ajax before joining Manchester United. The Red Devils’ priority is to sign a new number nine and with the Ghana international capable of leading the line, they are closely following him.

Mikel Arteta’s team have been interested in the Ajax star for a while and could push for his services in the near future. But they will have to make a few sales before pushing for his services having already spent a fortune on new players.
