Arsenal plot summer move for Mohammed Kudus

Arsenal keen on further bolstering their squad by signing 22-year-old Ajax sensation Mohammed Kudus ahead of the 2023-24 season.

According to Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in the services of Mohammed Kudus. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has been on fire of late, and the Gunners are keen on having him in their ranks as they look to push for the Premier League title next season.

Despite having spent over £200 million, Arsenal are still planning to further bolster their squad. However, their priority is to first offload a few players balance their books and then push for the services of the Ghana international.

The Gunners have so far acquired the services of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber. Arsenal have managed to significantly strengthen their squad by signing three top-class players. Now, they are looking to sell the likes of Kieran Tierney, Cedric Soares, Nicolas Pepe, Albert Lokonga, Nuno Tavares and Rob Holding.

They are even ready to entertain offers for other players as well. Once they manage to offload a few of them, they want to turn their attention towards Ajax’s £40million-rated attacker Mohammed Kudus.

The 22-year-old was on fire last season, he featured in a total of 42 matches and contributed towards 25 goals. The Ghana international scored a total of 18 goals and bagged seven assists. What attracts Arsenal’s attention is his versatility.

The 22-year-old is capable enough to feature as a striker, an attacking midfielder as well as a right winger. Last season, 17 of his appearances came on the right flank, 16 as a striker and the remaining nine as an attacking midfielder.

Arteta believes Kudus could do wonders for his team and is keen on having him in his ranks. His contract with the Dutch club runs until the summer of 2025. While there are still two years left on his deal, the 22-year-old could be on the move for the right price.

Arsenal will try to offload a few of their players and bring a decent amount before pushing for his services. Meanwhile, there is interest from Brighton & Hove Albion in the Ghana international’s services. However, the player might prefer joining the Gunners as they have Champions League football to offer and on top of that, they are contenders for the Premier League title.
