Real Madrid, the director of international football for Real Madrid, recently held a meeting with the representatives of Jude Bellingham.

According to a report by Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Juni Calafat, a key decision-maker at Real Madrid, recently met the representatives of Jude Bellingham, including his father. The 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder is also a target for Chelsea. And he will cost well over €100 million in the summer transfer window.

Jude Bellingham has seen his stock skyrocket since breaking into the Birmingham City FC first team. The teenage sensation was already highly coveted during his short stint with the Midlands outfit’s senior side. And he has gone from strength to strength at Borussia Dortmund in the last few years.

The 19-year-old is enjoying an excellent 2022/23 season, amassing ten goals and six assists in 32 appearances. The youngster is also a pivotal figure for the English national side. At the same time, Bellingham’s progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Real Madrid will look to scour the market for long-term successors to Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. And the Borussia Dortmund midfielder has emerged as the priority target for Los Blancos amid his skyrocketing progress. The reigning La Liga champions have already held many discussions with Bellingham’s entourage.

The Merengues have now stepped up their efforts to sign the 19-year-old, with Juni Calafat meeting his father. But recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid will not shell out over €100 million for him. Meanwhile, Los Blancos will face stiff competition from Chelsea and a few other clubs for Bellingham’s services.

The Blues have bolstered their squad considerably since Todd Boehly and his consortium took over. And they have spent heavily on midfielders, securing the services of Enzo Fernandez in January. But Chelsea will need a player who can reinforce Graham Potter’s creative options. And Bellingham is a viable target for the west London club.
