La Liga champions Real Madrid reportedly believe €130 million will be enough for them to secure the services of top target Jude Bellingham.

Spanish journalist Jorge Picon has claimed that according to Real Madrid, €130 million will be enough to seal the deal to sign Jude Bellingham. The reigning La Liga champions are reportedly the favourites to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

Jude Bellingham has been one of the best midfielders in the world since joining Borussia Dortmund. The English international is still in his teens but has progressed considerably in the last two and a half seasons. At the same time, he is a vital cog in Gareth Southgate’s squad on the international stage.

The 19-year-old has been top-notch thus far this season, amassing nine goals and three assists in 22 appearances. But Bellingham’s journey at Borussia Dortmund will likely end in the summer transfer window. And Real Madrid will look to prise the player away from the Westfalenstadion.

Real Madrid will look to lay down the succession plan for Luka Modric and Toni Kroos next year. While the two midfield stalwarts might remain at the Bernabeu going into the 2023/24 season, they are in the twilight of their career. So it behoves Real Madrid to plan for life after the duo.

Bellingham has thus emerged as the top target for Real Madrid. And Jorge Picon claims that the reigning La Liga champions reckon €130 million will be enough to sign the English international. Recent reports have suggested that Real Madrid will likely table an offer worth €120 million, including add-ons.

So by their estimate, they will need to offer a little more to secure the services of the 19-year-old. In the meantime, the Merengues are also preparing a lucrative contract offer for Bellingham. And with Real Madrid going all out, a summer move might be on the cards.

It will be interesting to see if Borussia Dortmund will accept a bid of around €130 million. For now, the Spanish champions are taking all the steps required to bring the teenage prodigy to the Bernabeu in the summer transfer window.
