La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Jude Bellingham, a target for Liverpool, a contract worth €12 million per year.

According to a report by Cadena SER, Real Madrid will soon offer Jude Bellingham a five-year deal worth €12 million per year. In addition, Los Blancos will table a bid worth €100 million to Borussia Dortmund. And they will hope to beat Liverpool to the English international with the package.

Jude Bellingham has come a long way since making history with Birmingham FC a few years ago. The 19-year-old is now one of the best midfielders in the world, going from strength to strength since joining Borussia Dortmund. At the same time, he is a pivotal figure for the English national side.

The teenage sensation has enjoyed a splendid 2022/23 season thus far, amassing nine goals and three assists in 22 appearances. And Bellingham will likely leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer amid interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Real Madrid will look to bring in Bellingham amid the advancing years of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. The ageing midfield stalwarts remain pivotal figures for Los Blancos. But they are approaching the end of their glittering career, thus prompting Real Madrid to plan for their succession. And the 19-year-old is their top target.

On the other hand, the sub-par 2022/23 season thus far has forced Liverpool into the market for a midfielder. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have blown hot and cold. In addition, James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are in the final year of their contracts. So Bellingham has emerged as a viable target for Liverpool.

But recent reports have claimed that the Reds believe the English international will join Real Madrid. And the Merengues are ready to table a five-year contract worth €12 million per year to Bellingham. In addition, Real Madrid will offer Borussia Dortmund €100 million in exchange for the Liverpool target.

It is unclear if Dortmund will be open to selling Bellingham for just €100 million. But the €12 million-a-year deal should appeal to the teenage prodigy. And it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can beat Liverpool to his signature with such offers.
