Liverpool are convinced Jude Bellingham will join Real Madrid in the summer and could give up chasing the highly-rated England international.

According to MARCA, Liverpool could give up chasing Jude Bellingham after receiving signals the €150 million-rated star would likely join Real Madrid in the summer. The Spanish giants have reportedly held valid discussions with the England international, who remains keen on the move.

Jude Bellingham had seen his stock rise exponentially after joining Borussia Dortmund when he was barely 16. In the ensuing years, the England international has become a key member of the Bundesliga side and remains one of the sought-after talents in the current market.

Naturally, many clubs continue to chase the midfielder, with a move away from Borussia Dortmund seeming to be on the cards soon. The German side are open to selling him, with reports of their €150 million asking price rife in the media. Hence, only a handful of sides can conclude such a transfer.

Liverpool have remained linked with Bellingham for a considerable period. Many are convinced the two parties are destined to unite as the England international is seen as a perfect fit under Jurgen Klopp. Despite his public comments about spending heavily, the manager was seemingly convinced to pay up huge fees for the 19-year-old.

However, in recent weeks, Klopp has switched his attention towards Enzo Fernandez from Bellingham as Liverpool’s priorities have changed drastically. The Premier League giants believe the English international has already agreed to join Real Madrid in the summer.

Real Madrid have reportedly kept in contact with Bellingham and his camp for over a year. They also supposedly convinced the player of their intentions and requested him not to renew the contract with Dortmund. The player has kept his part and is awaiting an official approach from the Champions League holders.

The report suggests Bellingham has told Liverpool of his intentions to join Real Madrid. The Reds took the news before switching their attention toward Fernandez. Klopp is now looking to redirect the money for the Argentine international and bring him to Anfield.

Klopp wanted Bellingham to become the long-term leader of the team and potentially replace Jordan Henderson. The player knew of interest from other English clubs but had a soft corner for Liverpool and their former midfielder Steven Gerrard. Yet, he has decided on other avenues and is likely to join Real Madrid.
