Second half strikes from Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino helped Liverpool ease past Watford on Saturday.
Liverpool extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to thirteen games, as they beat Javi Gracia’s Watford FC 3-0 at the Vicarage Road this weekend.
After a rather uneventful first half, Jurgen Klopp’s men burst into life after the break and Mo Salah broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, before Trent Alexander-Arnold fired home a brilliant free-kick ten minutes later. The Reds were given a scare when captain Jordan Henderson was sent off for a second booking, but Roberto Firmino’s late strike put the game to bed.
With the win, Liverpool maintain the two-point gap to leaders Manchester City, who thrashed West Ham United 4-0 on the day. The Reds are now unbeaten in their opening 13 league matches of a season for the first time since 2007. And here’s how the fans reacted to the victory on social media:

Just turned 20 and has already got 60 #LFC games under his belt, played in a CL final and a World Cup. What a talent Trent Alexander-Arnold is.

However, fans were furious with captain Jordan Henderson, who got sent off for a second bookable offence and will now miss the Merseyside derby as a result.

Jordan Henderson doesn't deserve #Liverpool captain band. He's too limited.

Jordan Henderson was a disgrace earlier. Had a yellow card. Warned and could have had another yellow twice. One just 30 seconds before he was sent off. He was playing awful anyway. Klopp should have hauled him off before he was sent off. Battling win v a good side #WATLIV

My boy Jordan Henderson has been sent off. What a silly sausage. #LFC

Why is it that Jordan Henderson seems to be content to play for participation medals rather than trophies? Janni football #WATLIV

That will not endear Jordan Henderson the #LFC captain to the masses! He’s been cumbersome all match, like Lallana he appears to have lost his way! A total lack of discipline and downright stupid #WATLIV
