Second half strikes from Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino helped Liverpool ease past Watford on Saturday.

Liverpool extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to thirteen games, as they beat Javi Gracia’s Watford FC 3-0 at the Vicarage Road this weekend.

After a rather uneventful first half, Jurgen Klopp’s men burst into life after the break and Mo Salah broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, before Trent Alexander-Arnold fired home a brilliant free-kick ten minutes later. The Reds were given a scare when captain Jordan Henderson was sent off for a second booking, but Roberto Firmino’s late strike put the game to bed.

With the win, Liverpool maintain the two-point gap to leaders Manchester City, who thrashed West Ham United 4-0 on the day. The Reds are now unbeaten in their opening 13 league matches of a season for the first time since 2007. And here’s how the fans reacted to the victory on social media:

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick from 25 yards out, to double Liverpool’s lead, was a thing of beauty. And the fans sung praises of the youngster’s performance on Saturday;

However, fans were furious with captain Jordan Henderson, who got sent off for a second bookable offence and will now miss the Merseyside derby as a result.
