Olivier Giroud scored from a stunning overhead kick to help Arsenal claim a hard-fought 1-0 win at Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.

Arsenal had to battle hard to continue their perfect record in the UEFA Europa League, leaving it late to beat 10-man Red Star Belgrade 1-0. The hosts defended resolutely for 80 minutes, but their steely determination gave way following Milan Rodic’s dismissal for a second bookable offence.

With just five minutes left on the clock, the Gunners produced a scintillating team move comprising of Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Giroud that was reminiscent of the 2013-14 Premier League Goal of the Season that was scored on the same day against Norwich.

The Frenchman finished the move with a brilliant effort to consolidate Arsenal’s place atop Group H and fans couldn’t stop raving about the goal.

Jack Wilshere’s performance had fans clamouring for his inclusion in a Premier League game yet again.

There were words of praise for Reiss Nelson as well after yet another promising outing for the youngster.
