Real Madrid clinched a berth in the semi-finals for the seventh season in a row over a resilient 10-man Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid came into the match with a 2-1 lead from the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals over Bayern Munich. The Bavarians made it difficult for Real Madrid as they managed to take it into extra-time after earning a 2-1 win at Santiago Bernabeu.

However, some shambolic refereeing saw Arturo Vidal being red-carded and Real Madrid’s second and third goal, which were offside as the replays have shown, were allowed by the referee. Naturally, Twitter blew the tie wide open with controversy, claiming another preferential treatment from the referee towards a La Liga side.

People consoled Bayern Munich after their spirited performance, especially after the Bavarians went down to 10 men and still managed to put up a fight.
