Anthony Martial has renewed terms with Manchester United, having signed a new long-term contract that ties him up at Old Trafford till June 30, 2024.

From arriving at Manchester United a relative unknown to being written off the English media; from a successful maiden season at Old Trafford to struggling under Jose Mourinho to becoming a pivotal player again, it has been quite a journey for Anthony Martial. The journey is now set to continue.

Manchester United have made an official statement to confirm that Martial has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal that ties him up to the Premier League heavyweights till the summer of 2014, with the Red Devils also having the option to extend it by a further year.

The player, who has found a second wind this season, has been one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s favourite players. Martial is also a favourite of the fans, who showered their praise on the Frenchman following the announcement of his new deal with Manchester United.

The fans also chose to mock the media, who had called Martial’s big money transfer to be a potential waste of money.

Fans also poked fun at the now departed Jose Mourinho, following the announcement, despite his renaissance in the final weeks of the former manager’s reign.
