Manchester United suffered a disappointing goalless draw against Hull City last night.

Eldin Jakupovic was Hull’s hero on the night after several fine saves kept the Red Devils at bay as Hull stole a precious point at Old Trafford.

United did attack from start to finish and looked impressive at times, but simply could not take their chances. Phil Jones looked impressive until going off injured once more, while Jose Mourinho cut a visibly frustrated figure on the sidelines.

The manager was left furious after Oumar Niasse failed to pick up a second yellow card and was seen remonstrating with the fourth official. In the end, Jakupovic took all the plaudits and was deservedly given the man of the match award.

Twitter was quick to praise the goalkeeper, while United fans were infuriated that he put in such an impressive display against their club.

Mourinho was on the receiving end of some criticism from both United fans and neutrals for his antics as well as his tactics.

Many also wondered what French forward Anthony Martial was doing on the bench, especially with the Red Devils desperately needing a goal.

There was plenty of talk about Zlatan Ibrahimovic as well, after the Swede put in a slightly disappointing performance.
