The Red Devils finally bagged a much needed win against Tottenham Hotspur to get them within sniffing distance of the top five in the Premier League.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s 29th minute goal proved to be the match winner, as United finally put an end to the drawing streak at Old Trafford. The win takes them to within three points of fifth placed Tottenham, and will come as a huge relief for Mourinho and co.

Despite the win, the Old Trafford faithful were displeased during the game. The cause for their frustration was the introduction of Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini. The 28-year-old was welcomed by boos as he began warming up to enter the fray.

Another subject of ridicule for Manchester United fans after the game was Tottenham striker Harry Kane. The Englishman is one of the most promising young strikers in the Premier League, but wasn’t really at his best against United.

Kane made a mistake that eventually led to Mkhitaryan’s goal, and couldn’t manage to help his team recover from that. He has now failed to score in six appearances against United, and looked neutered by the opposition defence throughout the game.
