Liverpool made light weather of Watford at Anfield in a stunning 6-1 demolition of the Londoners, with the Reds’ attacking quartet of Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and Lallana once again in the thick of the action.

Ever since their sobering experience at Vicarage Road last season where the Reds were at the receiving end of a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Watford, Liverpool have treated the Hornets with a measure of respect. But Jurgen Klopp’s men made no show of it on Saturday as they thrashed Walter Mazzarri’s side by a resounding 6-1 margin to go top of the league ahead of the international break.

And at the heart of the demolition job was Liverpool’s attacking quartet of Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane who are fast growing into one of the most feared group of forwards in the league. The four were involved in all but the sixth goal on the night as they lapped in the praise from the Reds’ faithful at the back of another spectacular performance.
