Tottenham are prepared to make a sizeable €40 million offer to Wolves for flying winger Adama Traore, as Nuno Espirito Santo eyes a reunion.

According to AS via Sport Witness, Tottenham are the latest side to show an interest in Adama Traore and could offer €40 million to Wolves for the winger. New Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo has requested Daniel Levy to sanction a move, as he remains keen to reunite with one of his former proteges.

Transfer stories linking Adama Traore are picking up steam as the window edges towards closure. The Spanish winger is thought to be made available for a transfer by Wolves, who are prepared to part ways if a sizeable offer comes their way. And, Tottenham are prepared to pay around €40 million, a figure Wolves might accept.

Traore was offered a new contract around January, which he declined, meaning he could leave for much less next summer. Wolves are eager to cash in and reinvest in a replacement. Goncalo Guedes from Valencia has been identified as the replacement, but the club needs to raise funds before making a move.

Over in Spain, Valencia are keen to get rid of Guedes, as they want to free up some wage bill while also making a profit off the sale. So it looks like a domino effect could very well be on the cards.

Traore has other admirers, notably Liverpool, who are keen to sign a wide player. They have been linked with the Spaniard for some time now but have other players on their radar. However, Spurs’ boss Nuno Espirito Santo could attract one of his former stars to north London.

Nuno wants to add another attacker, irrespective of Harry Kane’s future at the club. Either way, Traore is a much different player from the England captain, and the manager feels that the Spaniard could add value to his squad. He would add healthy competition for Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn, and with his pace can be a nuisance to the opposition.

While Wolves started their Premier League campaign on a losing note, Spurs began theirs by beating Manchester City. Santo wants to build momentum and wishes to add quality signings before the window closes. However, it remains to be seen if Traore is keen to join them and move to north London.
