Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been offered a £270,000-a-week deal to stay back at Arsenal despite interest from several clubs.

According to a report by Daily Mail, the Gunners have made an offer to persuade Alexis Sanchez to stay back at the Emirates, even as Bayern Munich attempts to sign the Chilean.

The deal will see the player pocket £270,000 a week, which is still short of the £300,000 the Chile star has reportedly demanded. Further talks have been planned after Arsenal play Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Arsenal will be desperate to retain Sanchez especially since the latter had earlier expressed a desire to move out of the club if they fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. They finished fifth in the Premier League table and missed out on the fourth spot by one point.

Sanchez has enjoyed yet another fantastic season with Arsenal, scoring 29 goals in all competitions. However, despite his contributions the North London club has endured a failure of a campaign, even as Arsene Wenger has tried experimenting with formations.

Juventus, Chelsea and Paris Saint-German are also keen on signing Sanchez, but Bayern are considered to be the front-runners after recent reports emerged of the Chilean FA listing Sanchez as a Bayern Munich player by accident.

If Sanchez does move to Bayern Munich, he will have a chance to play in the Champions League, and at winning trophies. Even though he’s not the typical wide player Bayern prefer, Sanchez can do well at the German club.

Sanchez always likes to cut inside and is very creative. However, it does seem like he sometimes makes impulsive decisions on the field, and he will have to work on that while playing in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Arsenal remain keen on retaining him, and the North Londoners can make a case for themselves when they face Chelsea in their FA Cup final. If they manage to win, Sanchez can be persuaded to stay back. However, given their current form, beating the newly-crowned Premier League champions will be an uphill task.
