Jurgen Klopp has handed starts to several fringe players as Liverpool look to close the gap from second place with a win over West Brom.

Joe Gomez returns to the starting lineup after Klopp confirmed that the player had completed his recovery. The Englishman takes his compatriot Trent Alexander-Arnold’s place on the right side of the back four. Elsewhere, there are starts for Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno in defence.

Upfront, Danny Ings starts, with Roberto Firmino being rested ahead of a crucial range of fixtures.
