Rio Ferdinand has included a clip in his vlog where he gives some youngsters some great words of wisdom.

The Manchester United legend was back at his old club this week to shoot an advertisement along with a number of other current United players.

The highlight of the video comes at the end, when Rio pays a visit to the kids who were infamously beaten 9-0 by local rivals City a couple of weeks ago. Ferdinand reminds the youngsters that he was also on the receiving end of a 6-1 thrashing by Manchester City and that if they aren’t hurt and embarrassed by the defeat they should not be at Manchester United.

He also goes on to say that they need to understand what the badge means and tells them they can bounce back from the defeat.
