Jurgen Klopp has chosen to bench Philippe Coutinho and has opted to go for an out-and-out striker for the game against Leicester City.

For Liverpool, Simon Mignolet retains his role between the sticks but will have an unfamiliar centre-back pairing of Joel Matip and Lucas ahead of him.

Gerogino Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson will form the double pivot in midfield with Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane set to be deployed as wingers.

Roberto Firmino has been started as the lone striker this season, but the Brazilian will play as a number 10 in behind striker Daniel Sturridge.

Midfielder Philippe Coutinho must be content with a spot on the bench, and is likely to come on in the second half for the Reds.

For the visitors, Vardy and Okazaki spearhead the attack with Mahrez and Albrighton playing out wide. Defensively, last season’s preferred centre-back pairing of Huth and Morgan will start the game ahead of Kasper Schmeichel in the Leicester goal.
