Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool played out a thrilling 1-1 draw at the White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Both teams began the game on the front foot and gave the fans an exciting contest to witness. Liverpool dominated the early proceedings as they controlled the play, but Spurs were up to it and matched their opposition’s willingness to attack.

It took 43 minutes for the first goal of the game to come. Makeshift left-back James Milner slotted home a penalty after Roberto Firmino was brought down in the penalty area. Liverpool held on to the lead for a while but eventually ended up squandering their advantage.

Spurs left-back Danny Rose stepped up to the occasion and scored the equaliser from an Erik Lamela cross to ensure that his side would not leave the game empty handed.
