Arsenal FC’s 1-1 draw with Ligue 2 side Lens leaves Gunners fuming [Tweets]

Arsenal’s preseason began in disappointing fashion as they were forced to come from behind to earn a draw against French Ligue 2 side RC Lens. 

 

It wasn’t the best of starts for Arsene Wenger and his Gunners side as they had to come from behind to salvage a draw against Ligue 2 outfit Lens. Mathias Autret broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, putting the French side in the lead. It took Arsenal 44 more minutes to find a way back into the game. Winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain restored parity with an exquisite chipped shot.

Arsenal fans were not pleased with their side’s performances and took to Twitter to express their frustration:

Defender Calum Chambers and winger Theo Walcott in particular were targeted by irate Gooners:

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s brilliant effort was appreciated by the Arsenal fans.
