Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce had recently claimed that Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp did not realise how ‘ferocious’ the Premier League was, and the Liverpool FC manager has responded.
A string of injuries of late has left Liverpool FC missing almost an entire XI from the squad due to injury. Phillipe Coutinho and Dejan Lovren recently limped off against Stoke City having sustained injuries, raising the count to six out of the eleven players injured in the hamstring.
Klopp hits back at Allardyce
Allardyce has not showed a lot of affection towards Liverpool FC managers in the past, and his spat with Rafa Benitez was quite famous. He was at it again with yet another Liverpool manager when he suggested that Klopp might have not been able to gauge the ferociousness of the Premier League.
Klopp was quoted as saying by Sky Sports ahead of Exeter tie: “I knew about the Premier League. It’s not a problem. Maybe he [Allardyce] has time to think about Liverpool problems.
“The problem is that, in this situation, we speak about the intensity of my style. I didn’t create this style, how could I? I’m not a genius.
“People talk about the intensity of my style. Two weeks ago we had no idea there would be a problem at centre-half. The truth is we have to react on the situation. It’s difficult enough to find quality players. We have eyes open.
“We try to be successful but you need a little bit of luck, we haven’t had this.”
Klopp reveals FA cup ambition

Liverpool FC are in the Capital One Cup tournament semi-final, and the Reds’ manager, who won a German Cup and reached the final in his final season with Dortmund, has spoken about his respect for the English FA Cup.
He said: “It’s a great tournament, we know about this. But we have to make decisions now for the team – we have to make changes. The German Cup is also important. The FA Cup a big tournament for sure. I have big respect for it.”
Liverpool FC take on Exeter with Klopp expected to field largely a team of young players, having lost out on a number of key players due to injury. The Reds faithful will get to see quite a few youngsters showcase what they are capable of, and will hope for one of them to hopefully go on and make a name for themselves in this difficult phase for the club.
