Simone Zaza Signs For Juventus In ai??i??18 Million Deal

Reigning Serie A Champions Juventus have today confirmed the capture of forward Simone Zaza from Sassuolo, in a deal worth a 18m, with the player penning a 5-year-contract with the Turin club.

Zaza was co-owned by Juventus and Sassuolo before the Bianconeri sold their share to the Serie A outfit in 2014, not without inserting a clause in the contract, which enabled them to buy-back Zaza entirely at a later point of time.

The 24-year-old forward has scored 20 goals for Sassuolo in 64 appearances, since his switch to Unione Sportiva Sassuolo Calcio in 2013 from Sampdoria. The Neroverdi forward made history as he became the first ever Sassuolo player to have donned the famous Italian jersey.

Massimiliano Allegri can expect the left-footed forward to add pace and power to his options in the final third, and would help complete the void left in Juventus’ ranks due to the departure of Carlos Tevez to his boyhood club Boca Juniors.

AGREEMENT WITH SASSUOLO FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE PLAYER SIMONE ZAZA

Turin, 7 July 2015 – Juventus Football Club S.p.A announces that the agreement with U.S. Sassuolo Calcio S.r.l. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Simone Zaza has been reached. The consideration for the acquisition is a 18 million payable in 3 financial years.

Juventus and the player have signed a 5-year contract of employment.

Juventus continue their massive rebuilding over the summer, with Zaza being the 4th high profile addition to the Old Lady squad. Other big names like Sami Khedira, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala have already been signed so far by the club. However, veteran midfielder Andrea Pirlo left the club and the Serie A to sign for Major League Soccer side New York City FC.
