Ronaldo Didnai??i??t Score But He Was Alive, Claims Real Madrid Boss Ancelotti After Morale Boosting Win Over Levante

Real Madrid secured a morale boosting win against Levante at Santiago Bernabeu after their recent setbacks as Gareth Bale was on target for Los Blancos on both the occasions. Star attacker Cristiano Ronaldo played a part in both of Balea s goals and coach Carlo Ancelotti was happy with the performance of the Portuguese international.

After their recent defeats at the hands of Schalke and Athletic Club, Real Madrid were in desperate need of a win to gain some confidence ahead of next weeksa Clasico and they managed to secure all three points against strugglers Levente on Sunday with the help of a brace from Gareth Bale.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score a goal in this match but Ancelotti was happy with the performance of his star striker.

“I think Cristiano Ronaldo’s alive because the first goal came from a shot which the defender saved and then Bale scored the second in the same way. Ronaldo didn’t score but was alive in the game.”

Gareth Bale got his confidence back after scoring 2 goals and Ancelotti was pleased with the performance of the Welshman.

“I saw a more motivated Bale, with more desire, and the whole team had more concentration. Everyone did well in the first half.

“We now have to do it for the whole game on Sunday [against Barcelona],” Ancelotti said.

The Real Madrid boss was quite happy with the overall performance of his players in the first half but asked them to work hard if they want to win against FC Barcelona next weekend.

a I thought our first half was good. We played well, with good intensity, quality and control of the game,a Carlo Ancelotti told reporters.

a In the second half, we were more relaxed, more horizontal [with our passing]. Ia d prefer us to improve on our first-half display.

a Our first half [against Levante] gave me confidence, but I was concerned about our second.

a Nonetheless, [the Clasico] will be a different game. We need to be at our very best, with that we can win it.

a Clearly wea ll be able to train on our physical and tactical profile all week [referring to Barcaa s Champions League participation midweek] and that gives us an advantage.a
