Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers had a tough task of addressing the press after the Anfield side crashed to a morale-crushing 3-0 defeat to West Ham at home. Rodgers bemoaned the individual errors that cost the game and red card to Philipe Coutinho, who will now miss the Manchester United game post international break.

Speaking post the loss, Rodgers said that the individual errors cost the Reds dear. He also said that Coutinho should not have been sent off.

All three Liverpool FC goals were down to individual error, with the pick of the one coming from Dejan Lovren who was labelled as a potential ‘world class’ defender by Rodgers pre-game.
Stating that the early goal dampened his plan, Rodgers was quoted saying by the club’s official website:
a We were disappointing today. We went in with confidence high but when you give away a goal so early it gave West Ham a boost,a he said.
