Real Madrid are prepared to offer Karim Benzema to Manchester United in order to help ease out a deal for David De Gea

Spanish newspaper AS reports that Real will be prepared to offload Benzema inorder to lower the prize as well as soften Manchester United’s stance to sell De Gea.

Real Madrid have been constantly linked with a move for Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero and his signature would meant that Benzema will be featuring less regularly in comparison to the last few seasons.

Manchester United have already resigned themselves to losing De Gea, knowing fully well that the player wants move back to Spain and their hunt for a forward is well documented with Falcao now being signed on a permanent contract and Robin van Persie isn’t exactly getting younger with rumors for a possible move to Juventus and Lazio continuing to cast a doubt over his future.

It was also reported earlier that Benzema’s representative did hold talks with Manchester United with the executive vice chairman Ed Woodward spotted with the agent of the Real Madrid forward in London.

.

Real Madrid had been informed by Jorge Mendes, the agent of De Gea that the player is keen to move to Real Madrid but Manchester United are prepared to not sell him and run his contract down which expires in 2016 despite it meaning that the club will miss out on a significant chunk of transfer fee.

With Manchester United posting a record a 159 Profit and the record breaking sponsorship deals kicking in, there is no real need to sell players for money.

AS reports that Real Madrid are fearful that they will be only able to secure De Gea as a free agent in 2016. And hence are prepared to offer Benzema to Manchester United in order to land the Spaniard who has been a key player for the English giants.
