According to Le Parisien, PSG is set to successfully sign Manchester Uniteda s Angel Di Maria for a 60m in the wake of the relaxation of the FFP regulations that prevented his arrival from Real Madrid last summer. The Argentine winger is also reportedly . attracting interest from Bayern Munich.

The report indicated that PSG have identified Manchester Uniteda s Angel Di Maria as their prime target this summer and will be able to ward off the interest from Bayern Munich and other clubs by putting forward an offer of a 60 million. PSG and Di Maria had come to an agreement last summer after the Argentine fell out with the Real Madrid hierarchy, with the Argentine going so far as stating that the main reason behind him not joining PSG was the cluba s a money problemsa . Despite signing for Manchester United, the Argentine highlighted the fact that he woulda ve enjoyed playing in the French capital and that a move to Paris could not be ruled out in the future.

a PSG, I think they had a money problem and they couldn’t buy players. This is the main reason I didn’t go there. Playing in the French league would please a lot of players.a

“Now I’m in the English league. But you never know, there is a lot of movement in football. You can never predict where you’re going to play.a

“It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris. I know I’m still young, perhaps I’ll go to PSG one day. I don’t know how it will all end.”

Angel Di Maria: Unsettled at Manchester United

PSGa s president Nasser al-Khelaifi also claimed that the player wanted to join the French club last summer but that PSG could not come to an agreement with Real Madrid.

a For two or three weeks I discussed this issue with my friend Florentino P rez, the president of Real Madrid. We met twice, we made an offer, but we did not agree on the price.a

a For me it was too expensive. It has nothing to do with financial fair play. The player wanted to come to Paris, but this was not possible.a
