Manchester United Plan Another Clearout; Future Of Falcao, Van Persie & De Gea Remain Uncertain

End Of The Road For Falcao and Van Persie

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has planned another makeover of his squad in the summer as the future of Radamel Falcao, Robin Van Persie, David de Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Phil Jones and Jonny Evans remain uncertain at the club.

Manchester United appointed Louis van Gaal as their new manager in 2014 but he was forced to make the complete makeover of the squad. The Dutchman spent huge money on new acquisitions like Angel di Maria, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Radamel Falcao, Luke Shaw and Daley Blind but in spite of such huge investment, Manchester United have collected only 38 points in the Premier League so far.

Louis van Gaal is not particularly happy with the current squad of Manchester United and he has planned another clear out in the summer of 2015. The Dutchman feels that many of the current members, including Falcao, Van Persie, Jonny Evans, Rafael Da Silva, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, does not have enough quality to remain at the club for another season.

Falcao moved to Manchester United on deadline day amid much fanfare but the Colombian has failed to impress Van Gaal so far and his continuous injuries have not helped the cause either.

Falcao was dropped from the squad of Manchester United for their last game against Southampton and this move of Van Gaal has not gone down too well with the Colombian and his agent, Jorge Mendes.

Meanwhile, reports coming from England have also confirmed the plans of Manchester United of another clear out in the summer of 2015. The Guardian has claimed today that Radamel Falcaoa s future at Manchester United is in doubt alongside several senior players whose contracts expire in 18 months, with David de Gea, Robin van Persie, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Rafael da Silva yet to sign new deals. There is an expectation at the club that the summer will feature another clearout by Louis van Gaal after the manager allowed 15 players to be sold or go on loan last year.

Van Persie has become an undisputed starter for Manchester United under Van Gaal this season but his age is going to be a key factor in deciding his future at the club.

Meanwhile, Van Gaal is not at all happy with the performances of Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young and at least one of them is facing the axe, with Mats Hummels ready to become the number one choice of the Dutchman next year.

Another player whose future remains uncertain at Manchester United is keeper David de Gea. Spanish giants Real Madrid are keen to sign De Gea in the summer and if any lucrative offer comes, then it will become very difficult for Manchester United to hold on to their star goal keeper.
