FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has called for the fans to show more support to the Blaugrana ahead of their clash against Deportivo La Coruna, with a win taking them to the top of the Spanish league ahead of departure for the Club World Cup in Far East.
FC Barcelona won the European Cup last season, enabling them to compete in the FIFA Club World Champions held in Japan this year.
The Blaugrana will depart for the competition later this month, with the weekend’s clash against Deportivo La Coruna the last of their Spanish League campaign in 2015.
Enrique Rallies Fans Ahead of Deportivo Clash
With Deportivo due in Camp Nou, the Spanish manager has called for fans to unite and support the Blaugrana in order to help them go to the Club World Championship on a high.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Enrique was quoted saying by FC Barcelona official website: a The fans need to show support in difficult times to give us security, and I am sure that this will help us get the three points to get to the Club World Cup in top condition.a
The manager added: a We have an exciting and attractive target with the Club World Cup, but it would be very sad for us to slip up in the league. He also added that he wants a to win the game before going to Japan and then we’ll see what our rivals get up to .a

Enrique Warns FC Barcelona against ‘different’ Deportivo
Deportivo have been in very good form in La Liga this season, sitting as high as sixth position right now in the League.
Warning his side to not draw conclusions from the easy wins they had over them last season, Enrique said: a We are preparing for the match with plenty of caution, not only because they are currently sixth in the league but because they have lost just once in seven away matches this season. We have analysed Deportivo and they are not the same side we faced last campaign. They have the same coach but different players and are working very hard.a
FC Barcelona currently sit top of the league with 34 points, two ahead of second placed Atletico Madrid and four ahead of hated rivals Real Madrid, who have slipped up twice in their last four games.
A draw would be enough to keep the Catalans at the top following the end of this match-day, but, Enrique is, unsurprisingly, unwilling to let his side get too over-confident and ensure that they take away a healthy lead to Japan.
