Luis Enrique Believes That “It Will Be Difficult Against Bayern” In The Second Leg

FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique sounded cautious as he spoke about their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Barcelona have a clear edge over the Bavarian club as they won the first leg last week 3-0 at their home ground. Also, if we current form is considered, Barcelona have been in sublime form in the recent times while Bayern Munich have lost their last four matches. Yesterday also the German champions went down by a goal to nil against FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga.

Speaking about Bayern, Enrique said, “They played more than 70 minutes of the game with one player fewer, but they had the 80 percent of the possession. Finally they lost, but I didn’t see the game.

“I know we will suffer in Munich,” he said. “I have no doubt about that and neither do my players, because they are a strong rival.”

The Barcelona boss emphasised on the fact that they had overturned the odds in the quarter final by defeating FC Porto in the second leg after they had gone down 3 goals to 1 in the first leg.

“It looks like it is difficult for them to win the semifinals, but they could do it against Porto in the quarters. So we cannot think it will be easy to progress through.

“It is a game we want to win, we will compete, we will have to defend and it will be difficult against Bayern.”
