Manchester United slumped to their 2nd defeat in a row against Norwich City on Saturday, and manager Louis van Gaal addressed the fans during his post-match interview.
The fans at Old Trafford witnessed Manchester United lose 2-1 to newly promoted club Norwich City, capping off a terrible month for the Red Devils that has seen them get knocked out of the Champions League, and now finding themselves out of the top 4 in the Premier League.
Dutch manager Louis van Gaal, who has been facing harsh criticism of late, spoke about his disappointment at the result and addressed the fans after the match.

“We were not good enough to win; that is a fact, we have lost. The fans are expecting that we win and we expect the same. We have never lost this season at home and we are in a bad period and you can see what (a lack of) confidence is doing to my players. We have to stick together now and come out of this bad period, but you have seen this is not so easy”, he said, according to the club’s official website.
“I have to say I like the attitude of the fans because, after the 2-0 scoreline, they stood behind the players and they were supporting the team, which is the most important thing and I was pleased with that. Of course they were disappointed and are yelling after this defeat, but we are just as frustrated that we haven’t won this game.”
Time running out for Van Gaal
The fans have already run out of patience with the Dutchman, calling his style boring and not becoming of a club like Manchester United, and it is only his good results in the Premier League that have been keeping his job safe.
But with the loss to Norwich City, the Red Devils find themselves out of the top four and this could spell doom for Louis van Gaal considering the number of people clamouring for his sacking.
