Liverpool FC Should Win The League Next Season: Belgian Star

Liverpool FC forward Divock Origi claims that Merseysiders should aim to win the Premier League next season.

Origi was signed in a A?10m deal last summer from French Ligue One side Lille and will return to Anfield following a year on loan.

20-year-old is desperate to make his mark for his new club having made 33 appearances last season and scoring eight goals for Lille, including a hat-trick in a league game against Stade Rennes in March.

.

He was quoted saying: “I think Liverpool is a wonderful club that deserves to be at the top and to be honest with the players they have, with the quality they have, then they should be finishing at the top of the league.”

“I’m very happy to be going there. Brendan Rodgers is a very good coach and he has proved that so it will be very exciting to work with a world-class coach.”

“Most of all it is important to be at a good club where people believe in you and where you feel good and at Liverpool I had a really good feeling and they have experience of working with young players.”

Origi is expected to get his 14th cap for Belgium in a friendly against France and Liverpool FC will be hoping that the player can display the same impressive performances as he did in the World Cup 2014 for Belgium. Liverpool FC goalscoring problem are well documented as they scored a partly 52 goals in the Premier League in 2014-15. Their search for a striker is an open secret with a bid for Christian Benteke expected this week around the A?20m mark. If Origi can lighten the burden of goalscoring at Anfield, he will have already recouped a significant portion of his transfer fee.

Liverpool FC pulled off somewhat of a coupe in securing the Belgian youngster as he put in assured displays at the 2014 World Cup. Quick, composed, and someone who can run with the ball, Origi can thrive in the system that Brendan Rodgers deploys at Anfield once he settles into life in England.
