Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC To Put In “5% Extra” Against Tottenham Hotspur, Warns Harry Kane

Liverpool FC have a new manager in Jurgen Klopp and Spurs striker Harry Kane believes that the German’s presence in the dugout will mean that the Anfield outfit will put in an extra five percent in their game at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool FC travel to White Hart Lane in Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge, since the German took over following the sacking of Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers.

Kane wary of Liverpool FC under Klopp

Spurs star Harry Kane has warned his teammates to be wary of the Reds, who he expects will be investing extra effort to impress the new boss.

“Liverpool are going to have a new manager and they will be up for it. In the first couple of game everybody tries to impress so they will probably have that little five percent extra than usual,” Kane was quoted saying by Reuters.

“We expect that. The Liverpool players at England could not wait to get back to start working under him [Klopp].”

Kane happy with Spurs form

Spurs have not lost since the poor showing in the first game of the season when they had lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford, before failing to win any of their next three games.

“We are happy to stay under the radar and keep putting in good performances,” Kane said.

“We haven’t lost in the league since the first game of the season. We’ve had a few draws where we should have won as well. But we are playing well and doing the right things. We have a fit young squad.

“It’s very open. I think that’s the standard of the Premier League. Anyone can beat anyone and that’s been shown a lot this season.”

Klopp had a hugely successful stint at Borussia Dortmund, with the German side re-known for their relentless pressing and devastating counter-attacking play.

His history of getting the best out of his player certainly has excited Liverpool’s England contingent if Kane’s comment are anything to go by.

Kane’s assessment that the Reds will be up for the game might not be far off the mark.
