Liverpool FC are set to appoint former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp as their new manager within a week, as per reports in the Guardian and other prominent English papers.
Liverpool sacked manager Brendan Rodgers after the Northern Irishman could only muster three wins in eleven games this season.
The sacking comes after Liverpool owners, the Fenway Sports Group, decided to retain Rodgers after a under-par 2014-15 season which not only saw the Reds finish sixth, but, also crash out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stage and lose 6-1 to Stoke City on the final day of the season.
Rodgers’ failure to improve the results this season meant he was not afforded any more time and reports now suggest that German Jurgen Klopp is set to be unveiled as the new manager by the end of the week.

Liverpool are confident of appointing JA?rgen Klopp as their next manager and could install the 48-year-old as Brendan Rodgersa successor by the end of the week.
The cluba s owner, Fenway Sports Group, moved swiftly to approach representatives of the former Borussia Dortmund coach after sacking Rodgers on Sunday. The initial talks have been encouraging for FSG, with indications Klopp will abandon a sabbatical to take the Anfield vacancy.
Negotiations, which are being led by Mike Gordon, FSGa s president, will continue over the coming days a with the Germana s acceptance of working with Liverpoola s transfer committee yet to be addressed a but Anfield officials are increasingly confident of securing Kloppa s services and doing so quickly.
The report goes on to add that Klopp would bring in his former assistant at Dortmund, Zeljko Buvac, and the coach, Peter Krawietz. Klopp enjoyed great success with the duo, taking Dortmund to two German League titles and one UEFA Champions League final.
However, the duo’s arrival will mean questions over the future of Reds’ newly appointed assistant manager Sean Oa Driscoll and first-team coach Gary McAllister.

Besides the Guardian, the Times also carried the same news, with the Reds ready to appoint Jurgen Klopp as their new manager.
