Jose Mourinho Pledges To Stay Mum Over Eva Carneiro Controversy

Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho has silently expressed his exasperation towards the FA. The 52-year old has promised to be close-mouthed over the controversy surrounding former Chelsea first-team doctor Eva Carneiro.

All eyes of the FA have been on the Chelsea manager after he lashed out at first-team doctor Eva Carneiro in their opening Premier League clash against Swansea City FC, but Mourinho insists he will remain silent irrespective of the FA’s verdict.

Mourinho said (via ESPN FC), “One day I will speak but I will choose a day. I read and I listen and I watch but I am quiet. My time to speak will arrive when I decide.”

.

The Portuguese has been criticized by a number of high-profile men in the football fraternity, FA chairman Greg Dyke the latest man to do so. Earlier in the week, Dyke wrote in a letter to FA Council members, “I don’t think Mr Mourinho comes well out of the whole saga – he clearly made a mistake in the heat of a game, and should have said so and apologized. Instead he has said very little and Miss Carneiro has lost her job.

“Our regulatory team have investigated this and whilst Mr Mourinho has breached no rules, it was clearly a failure of his personal judgement and public behaviour .”

Chelsea find themselves 14th in the League table with just 8 points from 7 games, and only once have have they managed to pick up fewer points in their first eight outings in the Premier League. Perhaps Mourinho has had enough entertainment around the grounds in these opening few weeks, and wants to get down to business now, before it gets too late.

His team host Southampton on Saturday, and he knows that a convincing win at Stamford Bridge against the Saints can trigger a revival.
