Indian Super League: Anelka 2-0 Mumbai City FC As Oscar Bruzon Leaves

Nicolas Anelka seems to have scored the second off the field goal, as reports emerge that Spaniard Oscar Bruzon has left Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City manager Nicolas Anelka and assistant coach Oscar Bruzon are reported to have parted ways after a major bust up between the pair regarding the fitness of Nicolas Anelka.

.

Oscar Bruzon, who was seen doing the media duties for Mumbai City FC, was found missing from the bench against Delhi Dynamos after responding to a question about Anelkaa s fitness during the pre-match press conference in a roundabout manner.

The answer, wherein Bruzon ranted about the team being united and behind the boss, seems to have been the final blow to the paira s already poor relation. Since the press conference, rumours emerged of the squad being divided into two camps and the poor results this season were just the side effects of the clash.

This isna t the first of the season though that a contract of an Mumbai City FC employee has been terminated after falling on the wrong side of the Frenchman. Pohang Steelers attacking midfielder Andre Moritz, who was on loan to Mumbai City FC, had his contract terminated after he too fell on the wrong side of Nicolas Anelka. Moritz had been brilliant in the first season for the Islanders and had notched up a hattrick against FC Pune City was forced to return to the Korean Side after just one game in the second season. His absence was trully felt by Mumbai City untill Sunil Chhetri returned from his national team duties, who again has international commitments this week.

It remains to be seen how long the management will fancy the whims of the marquee player cum manager Nicolas Anelka, but it surely is going to run out soon especially if the results dona t improve soon.
