“I Just Liked Those Fights With Klopp”- Pep Guardiola Revealed Ahead Of DFB Pokal Clash

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola revealed that he cherished the rivalry, which developed between Jurgen Klopp and him, after he joined Bayern Munich last season. He is also eagerly looking forward to the DFB Pokal semi-final clash tomorrow which will mark the end of the rivalry between the two managers.

At a press conference Guardiola said: “I just liked those fights with Klopp. It’s been a huge honour for me. He’s a super guy, and we both have nothing but the greatest respect for each other. He will find a big club soon. And those fights will continue. But for now. This will be our last game. He wants to win it, and so do I.”

Earlier Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp had warned the Bundesliga champions that his team would a run riota against them.

To that banter, Pep reacted in a calmer way saying, “That’s normal. We have played BVB seven times since I came here. We lost games, and we won games. All of those matches were aggressive.

“That’s a characteristic of Klopp’s teams. I don’t need his words to know that. They will give it their all. It’s their last chance to win a title.”

Guardiola will be boosted at the news of his talisman, Arjen Robben, returning in tomorrow crucial game. Robben stood out for five weeks owing to an abdominal injury. The Spanish would love to win this last battle against his rival manager and move forward towards a domestic double.
