Former Real Madrid Striker Morata Insists He Is Happy At Juventus And So Is Pogba

Paul Pogba and Alvaro Morata are linked with a summer move to Real Madrid but Morata insists that they both are happy at Juventus.

Italy international Paul Pogba is believed to be garnering a lot of interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid. The 22-year old is a hot favourite to become one of Florentino Pereza s next ambitious and costly targets. A lot of rumours suggest that Real Madrid will pursue the Italian in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Recently, Real Madrid legend and now the coach of the Castilla team, Zinedine Zidane, also hinted that Paul Pogba might join Real Madrid.

He told AS: “I have not tried to convince Pogba to join Real Madrid because I don’t know him on a personal level.

“But the best players always go to Madrid in the end.”

However, despite all reports suggesting that Pogba will don the famous all-white kit next season, the Frenchmana s teammate, Alvaro Morata claims that the midfielder is happy at Juventus.

“Could Pogba go to Madrid? He’s young and he’s among the best in the world, but he’s happy at Juventus,” Morata was quoted as saying by AS.

Alvaro Morata left Real Madrid last summer to join Juventus in search of regular football. But Real Madrid inserted a buy-back clause in the deal that gives them the option to recall the striker to La Liga in the future.

The striker did not deny the existence of the clause but also insisted that he is not thinking about Real Madrid at present and is very happy fulfilling his duties for the Serie A leaders.

“I’m happy here,” Morata added. “I don’t know the size of the release clause. Madrid and Juventus know how much it is, but I can’t allow myself to stop and think about that.

“It’s tough in Serie A. It’s very difficult to score. We work a lot more on the physical side of things here.

“It took me a while to adapt and to feel good on the pitch, but every day I feel stronger and faster.”

Alvaro Morata has scored eight goals in 26 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

Real Madrida s interest in Pogba is no secret and club president Florentino Perez will definitely try to sign the Italian sooner or later. Whether Pogba will be able to resist the temptation to join the Spanish giants or not remains to be seen.

On the other hand, Morata returning to Real Madrid seems like a long shot. Karim Benzema is a player in top form and with Jes Rodriguez providing back-up for the Frenchman, there seems to be no room to accommodate Morata in Ancelottia s plans.
