Former England Striker Reckons England Striker Harry Kane Is Worth A?100 Million

Former England striker Rodney Marsh reckons England and Spurs star Harry Kane is now worth a staggering A?100 million.

Kane scored within 1 minute and 18 seconds after coming on as a substitute in Friday night’s Euro 2016 qualifying win against Lithuania at Wembley.

The Tottenham hotshot has smashed 29 goals in 43 games for the north Londoners so far this season and will start for England against Italy on Tuesday night.

And now former England striker Marsh has tipped the 21 year old to be even better than Premier League legend Alan Shearer.

a I reckon he is worth A?100million, I honestly do,a Marsh told talkSPORT.

a Manchester City paid A?32m for a relatively untried young player called Eliaquim Mangala. If Mangala is worth A?32million, Harry Kane is worth A?100m all day long.”

a Angel Di Maria cost Manchester United A?62million. I think Harry Kane is a much better player than Di Maria in the Premier League.

a If I was a chairman of a football club, that is what I would pay for Harry Kane.a

Kane has been in fine form throughout the season and is a major reason why Pochettino’s Spurs are still in with a chance of finishing in the Top four in the Premier league.

Kane will get another chance to impress Roy Hodgson in Tuesday night’s friendly with Italy.

The Three Lions boss has confirmed the young forward will partner Wayne Rooney in attack in Turin.

However England Skipper Wayne Rooney has warned Kane to expect some rough treatment on his first start for his country.

a With Italian defenders, theya re clever defenders,a said Rooney. a They do anything to try and stop you and you have to be aware of that, and not be frustrated.

a I think ita s a passionate country who love their football, probably the closest in Europe to South American teams. Theya ll do anything to stop you.

a Theya re tough to play against, organised, make it as difficult to play against as possible. Theya re the best in Europe at doing that.a

Rooney has also backed his new in-form strike partner to help them overcome the mighty Italians.

a Ia m as excited as everyone in the country. Hea s had an unbelievable season. Going into the season there were questions whether he would start for Tottenham.

a After getting his goal on Friday, I bet he cana t wait to get out on the pitch and try and get another goal. Ita s great for English football to have someone scoring so regularly in the Premier League and getting a goal on debut at international level.

a Ita s an exciting time for him and all of us. At the minute, what Harry is doing he must continue doing. Hea s taking the ball and running at the defenders, getting shots at goal.a
