FC Barcelona: Sergio Busquets Signs New Contract Till 2019

He is on pace to become a club legend at FC Barcelona

Spanish side FC Barcelona have announced that midfielder Sergio Busquets has agreed a new four-and-a-half-year deal, which runs until 2019, with the club.

Sergio Busquets has committed himself to the Blaugrana until 2019 with the option of a further 12-month extension. Busquets is a product of fames La Macia academy and has spent his entire at FC Barcelona.

Busquets, whose previous deal still had three years to run, was attracting the interest of host of top European clubs like Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain and Beyern Munich. It appears now that the management of FC Barcelona has acted quickly to fend off the interest of potential suitors to keep their man.
