FC Barcelona: Aguero? No One Is Comparable To Messi, Says Mascherano

FC Barcelona face Man City in the second round of UEFA Champions League next week and the talk of Messi-Aguero rivalry has already begun. FC Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano has said that Aguero is a good player but Messi is incomparable.

Kun Aguero is looking in good form for Man City ahead of their Champions League tie against FC Barcelona but Javier Mascherano believes that his team mate is from another planet and no one is comparable to him.

“AgA?ero and Messi are very talented. ‘Kun’ is a great player with a good burst of pace in tight spaces and is fantastic one on one. He’s very difficult to mark overall but no one compares to Messi because he’s the best and no one is at his level”, Mascherano said. He was speaking to the official website of FC Barcelona.

Mascherano also said that he is confident that FC Barcelona will overcome the challenge of Manchester City.

“If we keep up our current good form then we’ll have a great chance. We have all the tools to put in a good performance in Manchester”.

“We’ve made more changes than they have and we have more new names. They have the same coach and will try to go about things the same way. It’ll be a similar tie and hopefully we’ll get the same result”.

Meanwhile, FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has also said that he is excited about the game against Man City and hinted that he might rest some players for a game against Malaga.

“I have to take everything into account and that is one aspect. We are playing a lot of games in the space of a few days, which I’ll bear in mind. We’ll concentrate on the first leg, which is the one we control.”

Luis Enrique has asked his players to maintain their focus for the remaining part of the season.

“The most important months of the season are coming up, although they’re all important because if you haven’t done your homework before you can’t find yourself in the position to fight for the interesting things. This period has come at a good moment in terms of our morale.”
