Fans Mock Mourinho After Suffering 2nd League Defeat At Stamford Bridge In 100th Game

Chelsea FC’s miserable start to their Premier League title defence continued as they slumped to yet another defeat at the hands of Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace at the Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho suffered only his second league defeat at home in his 100th match at the Stamford Bridge. The first defeat came at the hands of Sunderland in April 2014.

Bacary Sako opened the scoring in the 65th minute, before Radamel Falcao scored a rare Premier League goal to bring the Blues on level terms. Chelsea FC looked for the winner following Falcao’s goal; however, the London outfit conceded within two minutes as Joel Ward headed in from close range from Sako’s cross.

Chelsea FC’s defensive vulnerabilities once again came to the fore – they’ve conceded 9 goals in four Premier League games. Mourinho’s jinx against manager’s with surname starting from ‘P’ continued as Alan Pardew became the first manager to register 3 wins over the Portuguese in the Premier League. The last seven defeats suffered by the Portuguese are at the hands of managers with surname starting with ‘P’. Conor Wickham became the only player to have been part of two sides who have beaten Mourinho at Stamford Bridge in the league.

Mourinho had previously blamed the referee and his medical teams following defeats and lacklustre performances and he continued with his usual excuses, blaming the defeat partly on a penalty not given to his side in the first half. Chelsea FC find themselves 8 points behind league leaders Manchester City. Fans took to Twitter to mock the Blues and Mourinho following the defeat.
