Several sources are reporting that Juventus are close to sealing a deal for Palermoa s Paulo Dybala. The 21-year-old has been linked with the Bianconeri for months, Rosanero President Maurizio Zamparini has hinted a deal is close, telling Coach Beppe Iachini not to play the forward. Sky is reporting that the Old Lady are very close to agreeing a deal for the Argentinian, and believes that general manager Giuseppe Marotta could seal the deal after the Champions League semi-final second leg. Mediaset is also reporting that a deal is close, and is running with what it purports as details of the agreement. The news outlet states that the Turin giants will pay a 25m up front for Dybala, with another a 5m in easily-attainable bonuses. Another a 5m will be made up by giving players to the Sicilian side, with Edoardo Goldaniga and Eric Lanini the most likely candidates. Mediaset has previously stated that Juventus have agreed a contract with the player, and reiterated those claims, pointing to a five-year deal worth a 2m per season. The news outlet says a meeting took place yesterday where Fabio Paratici and Giuseppe Marotta of the Bianconeri met with Zamparini in his home.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a deal will not be signed in the next few days, as the playera s agent is in Argentina. The final details to settle are mainly surrounding the bonuses in the deal, but Juve’s offer is very high and all the conversations beetween the parties prove the deal is close. It seems too late for Milan and Inter to surpass Juve (although Palermo’s president Zamparini will meet with them this week), Palermo keeps asking for 40 million euro, but the deal could be closed on the basis of 28 to 32 million plus bonuses which are still being negotiated. At the moment it doesn’t appear that players will be included in the deal, although Juve and Palermo will still have to resolve the co ownerships of Goldinaga and Lanini. Dybala is ready to leave Palermo, Juventus could be the next chapter of his career.
Carlos Tevez might not leave at the end of this season
Juventus striker Carlos Tevez is thinking about extending his stay in Turin beyond this summer. The Argentine scored a crucial penalty that gave Juventus the lead in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Real Madrid. Tevez is the cluba s top scorer this season and is also the Italian top flighta s most prolific marksman but there has been speculation that he might be leaving the club this summer. There have been rumours that the forward is feeling homesick and is in talks to join his boyhood club Boca Juniors in Argentina at the end of the season. Tevez still has more than a year left on his deal with the club and there was talk that he might ask Juventus to terminate his contract to facilitate his move to Boca Juniors. And according to Sky Italia, the forward himself is now considering staying with the Italian champions beyond the summer. The club hierarchy are not keen to lose Tevez and the player himself is seemingly thinking about extending his stay with the Bianconeri. Tevez has led the Juventus strikeforce to another league title this season and is again expected to play a crucial role as the club look to qualify for their first Champions League final since 2003.
The Director of “Boca Social” Enzo Pagani recently spoke about Boca’s interest in Carlos Tevez during the presentation of the friendly match between “Juventus Legends” and “Boca legends” which is scheduled to be held at the Juventus Stadium on the 18th of June. “Tevez has a contract with Juventus and Boca has the utmost respect for this. If things change then that’s another situation entirely and in that case Boca is Carlos home. On the 18th of June Carlos is a Juventus player and he has one year left on his contract. Manchester City make first move for Paul Pogba
City are lining up a mega $75 million bid to lure Paul Pogba away from Juventus this summer. City may offload Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic to help fund the move for Pogba. Pogba, 22, has four years left on his current deal at Juve and the side who have won four-straight Serie A titles have no intention of letting their French international midfielder go. However if City come in with big money, it would be hard for Juventus to turn that kind of cash down. Currently returning from injury, Pogba missed out on Juventusa 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal in Turin on Tuesday. However the Frenchman has an outside chance of making the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday and will get the chance to showcase his talents on Europea s biggest stage. The man they call a Polpoa was named the best young player of the tournament at the 2014 World Cup as France made the quarterfinals. Man City are willing to double or even treble his weekly wage at Juve and may offer him the chance to lead their team into a brave new era with the likes of Toure coming towards the twilight of their careers. Pogba would be the perfect replacement for Toure. It is believed Chelsea, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are all chasing Pogba but the likes of City and PSG are the only clubs likely to be able to afford the transfer fee of more than $75 million.
The Citizens sent Soriano and Beguiristain to Torino last week where they met with Juve to discuss potential players to use in the deal (including Yaya Toure’, Dzeko and Jovetic who are all expected to leave regardless of the potential Pogba deal), as well as Pogba and his agent Raiola to go over their project. This is isn’t the first time Manchester City met with Raiola, they also had discussions in London previously. There are other clubs in the race. PSG continues to pursue Pogba but the player so far isn’t convinced by the destination, as well as Barcelona who has made an offer deemed too low (they could increase their bid after the president election, but they also cannot acquire him until their transfer ban expires). Juventus is waiting for the right offer, which will be so high that would make them consider selling even though they have no need to complete the deal.
