Didi Hamman Reckons Gareth Bale Would Fit In Perfectly At Manchester United

Di Maria has struggled at Old Trafford this season while Bale is lacking in confidence at the Bernabeu and was dissapointing against Juventus on Tuesday night.

Di Maria has struggled to adapt in England since his record breaking A?59.7m switch to Old Trafford and the Argentinian hasn’t started a game for Louis van Gaal’s side in almost two months.

Meanwhile Bale, who starred for Madrid last season, has come under fire at the Bernabeu in recent months and was hooked by Carlo Ancelotti during Los Blancos 2-1 defeat at Juventus on Tuesday night and former Liverpool and Bayern Munich Midfielder Dietmar Hamann reckons Manchester United could offer Angel Di Maria to Real Madrid as part of a bid to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League.

Hamann believes Gareth Bale is struggling at the Bernabeu in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo and says he would love to see the Welshman back in the Premier League.

a I wouldna t be too concerned with Gareth Balea s performance against Juventus,” Hamann told talkSPORT. “I know he had a poor game but he had been out for a few weeks.”

a Sometimes these players, who rely on their pace, can take a few weeks to get back to full speed.”

a A bigger issue is the problem with Cristiano Ronaldo. I dona t think therea s space for the two of them. Ronaldo has scored 54 goals this season, he is their main player. I just dona t think therea s a place for both of them.”

a There is a lot of uncertainty at the moment. The way ita s going, I would be very surprised if he was at Real Madrid next season. Manchester United will be on red alert.”

a Angel di Maria came from Real Madrid and there may be the opportunity to do a swap deal. I would love to see Gareth Bale back in the Premier League.a

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane slammed Bale for his display, claiming that his anonymity meant Madrid might as well have been playing with 10 men against Juventus.

However, despite Bale’s disappointing display in Turin, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti defended the attacker and said his recent injury lay-off was the main reason behind his substitution.

“Bale was tired; he’s just come back from an injury and he’s just too important for us,” said Ancelotti.

“He’s our most dangerous player and because he was tired, I preferred not to take any risks and I took him off.”
